Kelantan NGOs Lodge Reports Against Cadbury

Kota Bharu – Two non-governmental organisations (NGO) today lodged police reports against chocolate manufacturer Cadbury Confectionery Malaysia Sdn Bhd over the discovery of porcine (pig) DNA in chocolates.

The reports were lodged by Institusi Modenisasi Pemikiran Anak Kelantan (Impak) and The People of Kelantan Action Council about noon at the Kota Baru police headquarters here.

The reports were in connection with the findings of pig DNA in the Cadbury Dairy Milk Hazelnut and Cadbury Dairy Milk Roast Almond manufactured by the company.

Impak chairman Wan Khairul Ihsan Wan Muhammad said the report was made as it was a serious matter affecting the sensitivities of Muslims in the country.
