Kuala Lumpur – The price of fuel has increased with RON95 at RM1.95 per litre, as announced by the Domestic, Trade, Co-operatives and Consumerism Ministry tonight.
The new price will come into effect at 12.01am on March 1.
Previously for February, RON95 was priced at RM1.70, with the new price recording a 25 sen increase.
The price in February was the lowest it had ever been for RON95 since it was introduced in the country.
As for RON97, it is now at RM2.25, also recording an increase of 25 sen from RM2 in February.
Diesel also recorded an increase of 25 sen, and is now at RM1.95 from RM1.70.
Deputy Finance Minister Datuk Ahmad Maslan, tweeted at 8pm that the oil prices in Malaysia would follow the upward and downward trend in global oil prices.
“We as consumers must spend wisely when prices go up/down,” Ahmad Maslan said.
