A SUPERCAR owner has seen his £200,000 vehicle written off after the 200mph machine was flipped onto its roof.
The driver of the Ferrari 458 Italia lost control on the slip road from the M56 to the M6 near Warrington, Cheshire, last night.
The vehicle – which can reach a top speed of 202mph – was totalled in the accident and the 41-year-old male driver has been sent on an improvement course to sharpen their driving skills.
However, they managed to escape the smash with only minor injuries.
The North West Motorway Police posted pictures of the crash online and said: “Here’s a couple of pictures of the vehicle that lost control and rolled over on the M56 to M6 slip yesterday evening.
“Driver had minor injuries and will be going on a driver improvement course.
“The Ferrari however was not so lucky.”
Launched in 2009, the Ferrari 458 Italia is regarded as one of the finest cars ever built by the Italian manufacturer – and one of the fastest.
It is powered by a 4.5-litre V8 engine, developing 562bhp, which gives the car a 0-62mph time of 3.4 seconds.
