People Urged To Donate Blood To Meet Need Of Flood-Hit States

Kuala Lumpur – The National Blood Centre today urged the people to donate blood more frequently to ensure sufficient supply of blood, particularly now, for the flood-hit states.

Its director, Dr Noryati Abu Amin, said the supply of blood should be increased to meet the needs of all hospitals in the flood-hit states.

“The people are encouraged to call at the centre or any mobile blood donation campaign unit to donate blood,” she said in a statement.

She also said that the centre would be open on the Christmas holiday tomorrow and on New Year’s Day on Jan 1. – Bernama
