Petaling Jaya – Selangor is a few steps ahead of other states in providing organised flood aids, says Selangor economic advisor Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
Anwar gave those glowing praises during a “Meet Anwar” session here recently, highlighting the efforts made by the state government which is being led by Menteri Besar Azmin Ali.
The Permatang Pauh MP also questioned the speed of the Federal government’s response despite floods occurring on annual basis in the country.
“We understand that we cannot blame everything on the (Federal) government,” he said before adding: “But we cannot understand why every measure is too slow?”
However, he heaped praises to those who joined forces in contributing aid reliefs, commending this demonstrated togetherness and solidarity among Malaysians. -mD
