German Tourist Killed Plunged At Telaga Tujuh

Alor Star – A German tourist was killed when he plunged ‎70 metres off a cliff at Telaga Tujuh Waterfalls in Langkawi yesterday.

It was learnt that the victim, identified as Alexzande Anton Michael, 24,‎ died on the spot in the 3pm incident.

A Langkawi Fire and Rescue Department spokesman said 10 rescuers were dispatched to the scene upon receiving a distress call.

The team had to use a rappelling technique to reach the scene before lifting the body out at 4.50pm.

The remains were sent to Langkawi Hospital.
