Lost Crocodile Caught In Sarawak

Kota Samarahan – Villagers in Kampung Melayu had a shocking encounter after a four-meter-long crocodile entered their village here this morning.

 

It was learnt that the crocodile entered the village after it lost its way from the nearby river here.

 

State Civil Defence spokesperson said a team of five rushed to the village and captured the reptile before it could attack the residents.

 

“We received a call from the villagers at 10.51 am and rushed our team to the scene.

 

“As the team captured the reptile, it didn’t attack anyone. It remained calm. The crocodile was sent to the Sarawak Forestry Department,” said the spokesperson when contacted. – NST
