Singapura – In line with acclaimed culinary master Chef Wan’s first Malay cookbook ‘400 Resipi Terbaik’, POPULAR – Singapore’s largest bookstore chain, is holding a cooking challenge as part of its BookFest’s Cookout Day.
The event called “Chef Wan Cooking Challenge”, will see culinary enthusiasts compete in preparing dishes based on nine recipes found in Chef Wan’s latest cookbook.
Datuk Redzuawan Ismail or better known as Chef Wan, Asia’s most renowned culinary personality, will be the judge at this event. The preliminaries will be held on Saturday at One KM Mall (former Lion City Hotel). The final round will be held on Sunday at BookFest@Singapore 2014 Suntec Singapore.
The top three winners will stand to win cash, other attractive prizes and an exclusive dinner with Chef Wan himself.
On the ‘400 Resipi Terbaik’ cookbook, Chef Wan said: “The book is a compilation of all my past five cookbooks such as Simply Sedap and The Best of Chef Wan.”
“It contains the most authentic Asian, Malay and international dishes,” he told Bernama.
All his cookbooks have been the best selling in Asia thus far.
