INDORE, Feb 11 – The number of people who died of H1N1 flu virus in India’s central city of Indore has risen to 17, Press Trust of India (PTI) reported.
Dr Sanjay Dixit, head of Community Medicine Department at government-run Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College, said two young men died of the virus also known as swine flu at private hospitals on Tuesday.
Both patients were admitted to hospitals on Jan 28 and test reports on Jan 31 confirmed they were suffering from H1N1.
A total of 41 swine flu cases have been reported in the largest city in Madhya Pradesh state. – BERNAMA
