Three Immigration Officers Remanded

Kangar – Three Immigration Department enforcement officers in the state had been remanded in connection with the death of an illegal immigrant recently.

The officers, aged between 32 and 35, were detained upon turning up at the Kangar police station to facilitate the investigation and were subsequently taken to the Magistrates Court here for remand proceeding this morning.

Police had classified the case under Section 302 of the Penal Code.

It was understood that the Bangladesh national had succumbed to his injuries while being treated at the Tuanku Fauziah Hospital on Nov 4.
