Kuala Lumpur – Malaysia Airlines (MAS) has appointed Mohd Nadziruddin Mohd Basri as chief restructuring officer (CRO) in charge of the Restructuring Management Office, effective today.
In filing to Bursa Malaysia, the national carrier said as CRO, Mohd Nadziruddin will report to the Board Restructuring Committee, a sub-committee of the main board of MAS.
“It (the appointment) is as part of the on-going restructuring exercise,” the statement said.
He is currently MAS’ chief financial officer who was appointed on Nov 1, 2013.
Mohd Nadziruddin, 45, was previously managing director of Khazanah Nasional Bhd’s unit, Destination Resorts and Hotels Sdn Bhd, and was also a former executive director of investments at Khazanah.
Prior to that, he was Khazanah’s chief financial officer.
Before joining Khazanah, he served MAS as senior general manager of airport operations.
In view of that, Mohd Sukri Husin has been appointed chief financial officer/Director of Finance for MAS, effective the same date, it said.
He has served 28 years in MAS including Financial Accounting Management Reporting as well as Budgeting areas.
Mohd Sukri, 52, is now director of corporate services, the position he held since August 2012.
He is also board members in MAS subsidiaries and associated companies. – Bernama
